As I have indicated, I accepted a position at a local based crisis management and corporate revitalization consulting firm.

My salary for six months will be adjusted to $120,000 with a $10,000 bonus guaranteed. It may be higher.

Next year, my salary will be adjusted to $140,000, my prior compensation. My target bonus will be $30,000 or more.

On the whole, I am satisfied about the situation I have found. It is out of the environmental industry, it is local, it is doing something interesting and challenging, it gets me into the mainstream of the Detroit economy (they largely serve suppliers to the auto industry), and it is an honorable company.

Thank you for your assistance in this process. I am most appreciative.

One last thought, I found this position because of the “swiss cheese” letters I sent out. They really do work.

Thank you so much for the time you took from your busy schedule to prepare me for the interviewing process. I really appreciate the comments and suggestions you made. Your effort helped me pinpoint my weak area and with continued practice I will be able to go to interviews and display a confident, positive attitude.

My new position is Research/Policy Analyst. My primary responsibilities are to do statistical analysis of the court system, manage court databases, and interpret the results in a way a layperson can understand. I will also write a several reports on court activity throughout the year.

This is a good opportunity for me for several reasons. It will allow me to develop my quantitative skills. It is also a 12 percent pay raise. Most importantly of all, it is a change, after 9.5 years in the same position it is time to move on.

Career Consultants Corp. helped in two primary respects. The résumé that you developed was very useful. I received many more interviews and responses as a result of your changes to my résumé. The second thing you did was add accountability and structure to my job search. Instead of a haphazard approach, the job search was consistent and organized.

I enjoy my job very much – last week I was in Miami and this week I was in Orlando at trade shows. I probably will travel about 8-10 partial weeks per year, which is fine since the destinations are always in warm locations and I am making great contacts.

You helped me get my career campaign organized, starting with recognizing that my skills should be showcased on my résumé. The new résumé was a great improvement, and a confidence booster. Seminar, and the idea of information meetings were terrific. And the feedback and suggestions you gave were excellent.

I hope this note finds you doing well and enjoying the season. I am still keeping busy with the projects involved in my new business, but I am doing fine.

I am encouraged at the opportunities presented by starting my own business. I restore old photographs through digital technology.

Some of the benefits I can see in this new venture include a tremendous increase in my income. In conservative figures, I could be grossing $160,000 in the first year. Overhead in this line of work is minimal since I can operate from my residence, so my personal salary will be a substantial portion of my gross.

I believe that my time at Career Consultants Corp. has been beneficial to my career in that it has helped me to isolate my strengths and weaknesses. The MB test helped clarify my abilities and give me a better focus for my career goals. Your candor and insight gave me what I needed to have a realistic and do-able plan. Also, I really enjoyed learning from your language skills. It was a treat to watch you take my projects and give me “management friendly” vocabulary to express them in.

Thank you for your personal interest in my career, and for your follow-up, making sure all has been well with me. It is comforting to know that I have such a capable and professional person and business in my corner.

I hope to relay great news about my new venture in the near future. Have a terrific day.

I just wanted to send you a letter of thanks and update you with my progress in my new position. I know it has been almost three months since I accepted the Columbus territory, but oh how times flies!

As you know, I was offered an outstanding opportunity with a local printing company to head up their Columbus operations. After a thorough investigation of the company and the available opening, I decided this was the position for me. What made this even more interesting was the fact that they were a vendor of mine from my previous employer. I was very familiar with their capabilities and knew how they marketed their services. As one thing led to another and my relationships within the company matured, I was offered the position and here I am in Columbus.

After we knew we were moving, my wife pursued a position with one of the Columbus area hospitals. Thankfully, one of her co-workers knew someone who knew someone and opened that door of opportunity. She too experienced the value of building a relationship and gathering information. It wasn’t long before they were paying our relocation expenses and giving my wife a healthy increase in pay. Wow! Both of us were able to negotiate excellent compensation packages because of the training I received from our meetings.

I can’t thank you enough for the friendship we developed and the confidence I acquired through our time together. These skills helped us both through a very challenging time in our careers and made us realize how valuable this approach really is.

I know from personal experience the importance of proper networking and having confidence in myself. If one of your clients needs to contact someone in this industry, I would be glad to help them in any way I can.

Thanks again for everything. I look forward to staying in touch!

I've accepted the position of Pharmacy Business Manager at a salary of $58,654.33 per annum, plus excellent benefits package. This is a long distance move aided by the excellent guidance you provided. I expect, since this is my first position in the U.S. market, that I will be well positioned to look for (+ move into) more advanced positions in the future.

I especially appreciate the guidance given initially in searching out my other talents + potential career directions. Polishing the resume to a succinct one page is an added bonus. Your patience in dealing with my emotional roller-coaster ride has been the best support anyone could ask for.
